Glossary of poker terminology

Ladies : A pair of Queens in poker or card games.
Lady : A pair of Queens in poker or card games.
Last base : The player in the last decision making position in blackjack games.
Lay Bet : Betting against a point number being rolled in craps, wins with a seven.
Layout : The felt surface used on various gaming tables.
Let-it-ride : To leave the original bet and the money won on the playing surface and wager it all again. A poker based casino game. See 'let it ride poker'
Limit : A predetermined amount with the minimums and maximums a player may wager between.
Line : The pass line.
Little Joe : Slang in craps for the number four.
Live Hand : A hand that still has 'action', still has a chance to win or lose.
Lock up : Put into the bankroll. Losing bets are "locked up", i.e. taken and placed in the bankroll.
Lammar : A plastic disc used to indicate the amount of a marker or money taken from the bank roll.
Low side : In craps, refers to the 'yo' and the 'ace-duece' (3) proposition bets.
Loose : Easy money easy pickings and winnings.
Low Poker : A Poker game in which the pot is awarded to the hand with the lowest poker value.
