Glossary of gambling terms used in casino's and poker rooms with the meaning of the words explained:

Inside : In craps refers to the bettable numbers in particular the numbers 5,6,8,9 bets are made in multiples of $17 if the 'point' is not on any of the inside numbers.
Inside Bets : In roulette an inside bet is a bet either on a 'straight up','split','corner',street' or a 'six line' basically any bet that pays higher 2-1. Opposite 'outside bet'. In craps refers to the bettable numbers that the dealer places for you on the 'layout'.
Inside straight : In Poker, an inside straight is a partial straight with four cards in hand with only one way to make a straight eg. 1,2,3,5 in poker hand need a 4 to complete the straight. If drawn it is refered to as drawing an inside straight.
Inspector : A staffing position, job available for the more experienced dealers that are no longer required to deal but instead watch over or supervise casino games and dealers. Some casino's utilise dealer-inspectors which requires the inspectors to deal on occasion and some establishments make use of dealers to inspect games. Insurance : A side bet option that can be made in blackjack that lets a player bet half or less their original wager, should the dealer get blackjack insurance pays 2-1. Can also used as a term for any bet that covers an original wager.
